Blind River Fit 3 Projects Now Operational

Saturn Power is thrilled to announce the commercial operation of our FIT 3 solar projects. Saturn Power led the permitting, engineering, procurement and construction of these developments. These five new solar farms are co-owned with North Shore Power Group and were developed as a part of the Government of Ontario’s Feed-In Tariff (FIT) program.

Fixed 100, Fixed 200, Fixed 300, Fixed 400 and Fixed 500, are located in Blind River, Ontario, near our existing Solvation S project site.  Each of the sites produce 500kW AC, for a combined total of 2.5MW AC in power generation.  Our expert team of project developers and engineers used a mix of technologies to get the right fit for each section of land.  This mix included Sungrow inverters, Heliene and Trina PV Modules, as well as GameChange and Solar FlexRack racking technologies.

Fixed 200 was the first project completed, with a commercial operation date of June 6, 2017.  This was followed by Fixed 300 on June 26, 2017 and Fixed 400 on October 24, 2017.  Lastly, Fixed 100 and Fixed 500 went into commercial operation most recently, on July 20, 2018.

The Saturn Power team would like to express congratulations to Mike Gupta, the Construction Manager of these projects, for his tenacity ensured the development's success. We celebrate the achievement of our FIT 3 sites, as their full operation means that the province of Ontario and its residents will benefit from a greener, cleaner energy portfolio. As a company headquartered in Ontario, we are proud that these provincial projects have been a part of our pursuit, as we strive to build a more sustainable world.
